The BEST Day of Christmas Vacation. . .

Last week I decided that the best day of Christmas vacation is actually the day before it starts--because there is that delicious feeling that the next day is the LAST day of work for two weeks.

But this morning I decided that the best day of Christmas vacation is that first Monday morning, when my internal clock completes its usual 5:30 wake-up, and then I roll back over until 7:30. And there are 13 more days for that.

Unfortunately, vacation is like a vehicle going downhill - it tends to pick up speed. I've got to make every second last.
