Comet panSTARR

I saw this comet Tuesday night.  It's beautiful - however, this is a time exposure (taken by someone on Lake Murray and posted on FB) and it is not this visible to the naked eye.  With binoculars, however, it looks just like this.  If someone goes out tonight or tomorrow night, the moon would be much higher in the sky.

It was almost straight due west, just slightly northwest.  It dropped below the horizon within a half-hour after sunset, so a person has to be specific in going out to see it or he will miss it.

I always love seeing unusual things in the sky.
