Friday's Fave Five, 10/23/15

LINK to Friday's Fave Five host blog

1. Progress is being made on the pool.  Not sure if that is a "favorite" or not, but if it has to be done, at least progress is being made.  Very weird to see the fence torn down.

2. New fall dish towels.  The men around here laugh at me because I get excited about dish towels.  They were only $1.98 apiece at Wal-Mart.  I love seasonal dish towels.  Life's simple pleasures are the best.

3. A fresh haircut, and I was unexpectedly able to get an appointment at a very convenient time for me, due to a cancellation.

4. The Cubbies lost.  Okay, that is NOT a favorite.  But we had some nice times watching baseball this past week, both with my folks and here at home.

5. A half-day teacher's workday today means that I got a lot done at school, got some painting done in a room that needed it badly, and got home in time to get ahead on the weekend work here.  Plus, the men have gone hunting and I have been instructed to stay home because of a FedEx package that must be signed for.  Therefore I cannot go to the gym.  Now that's a Friday's Fave Five!!!  :-)

I haven't seen those dish towels at WM - will have to look again. Maybe they're a new shipment! It's hard to find the kind I like, so if I can do that and have it seasonal, too, that's a plus.

I've been needing a haircut for a few weeks. I go to one of those walk-in places, and the lady I like only works Thursday and Friday but I haven't been able to get there then. Hopefully next week.

Your Friday sounds great!.

Cute dish towels - I love little things like that too!

Also got my hair cut this week and was very pleased. (which is not usual :) )

Progress is a good favourite - even if it means a mess to begin with. You'll love it when it's all done.

Hope you have a good weekend - I'm sure my hubby would love ot be joining your men hunting - he's hoping to get out next week.

I am loving those dishtowels and those colors would totally go with my kitchen at any time. I'll have to check out our Wallymart! Those unexpected extra time off days are the best. Enjoy your weekend relaxing!
